Richard Ding
Senior AI Application Engineer in Atlanta. I take enterprise AI agents from prototype to production on Google Cloud.
Outside work I build and run my own AI products: a production AI video and image platform with paying customers, a published MCP server, and a Claude Code setup of skills, hooks and path-scoped rules across a multi-repo portfolio.
Underneath the AI work is a decade of building backend and data systems: event-driven microservices, workflow orchestration, API integrations, and the CI/CD and cloud infrastructure that keeps them running, on AWS and Google Cloud, with certifications earned on both. I hold three master's degrees from Georgia Tech, in computer science, operations research and computational science, and did PhD studies in machine learning.
What I write about
Agents on Google Cloud
ADK, Agent Engine, Vertex AI, conversational AI, MCP and A2A, and Terraform for all of it.
Claude Code at scale
Hooks, rules, skills, subagents, MCP servers, CI, and running it behind an enterprise gateway.
The craft of shipping
Evals, tracing, guardrails, cost per request, and what a forward deployed engineer does.
Examples come from my own builds and public docs. Views are my own and do not represent Dematic or KION.
New issues by email.
No fixed schedule. Agents on Google Cloud, Claude Code for teams, and running AI in production.
